What Fantasy Games does Sandbox.com have?

Some more definitions…wow, this is like school.

There are many different kinds of sports games that have been qualified as fantasy games. Once you play one of each type, you will see how easy it is to play and have fun with Fantasy Sports.

We have listed below the types of fantasy games we have for Sandbox.com for 2008. We included what sports they will be available in.

Sandbox.com has 25 games in eight sports for $4.99 per month. Learn, Play and Dominate in the Box.
  • League Management – Called SBX – This is not a contest. There are no prizes. People use our software to run their own fantasy leagues. You enroll friends. You pick the scoring. You pick the features. We give you a customizable stat-supported personal website for your league participants. All participants have different players – no pro player is on more than one team in a given league. Often times they get together for the draft (assigning players to their teams), it does not have to be online. The leagues are scored online and results posted both real-time and overnight (officially). Available in Baseball and Football versions.
  • Full Fantasy – Also called League Style Fantasy. This is where you own a franchise. Both with people you know or don’t know, participants play in a league that Sandbox.com administrates with SPECIFIC rules and SPECIFIC features that WE PICK. You play in small groups called leagues where all participants have different players – no athlete is on more than one team in a given league. The draft (assigning of players) is online always. It can be real-time or based on ordered lists from each franchise owner or in an online draft room. The leagues are scored online and results posted both real-time and overnight (officially). Available in Baseball, Football, Basketball and Hockey versions.
  • Salary Cap – Often also called Challenge Fantasy. Each athlete in the sport is given a salary based on his/her projected performance. Each participant is given a budget (salary cap) to purchase athletes. Each athlete’s salary changes based on the number of participants who chose that player or discard that player. The athletes purchased scored fantasy points based on their on-field performance. Participants are awarded prizes overall, weekly and in small groups we call divisions. Available in Baseball, Football, Basketball, Hockey, NASCAR and Golf versions.
  • Pick 'Em Games– Different from the other fantasy games, participants select teams instead of pro athletes based on who they think will win. The participants who are best at selecting winners (either straight out winners or with odds) will get fantasy points. There are variations of this such as survivor and loser pools where you pick ONE winner (or loser) each week and stay in the game as long as you keep being correct. They are all Pick ‘Em games. Available in Football and College Football.
  • True or False Games – Participants answer TRUE/FALSE questions about the athlete’s performance. Participants score points for guessing correctly what will happen. Each question is made to be 50-50 on the answer. For each correct answer, you receive points. Available in Football.
  • Bracket Games – These are done for teams or athletes. The most popular sports contest in America is the NCAA Tournament Brackets contest. It has a field of 64 NCAA teams before the March Madness tournament and participants select the winners of the 63 games. Scoring usually has some use of the seed of the player or team. We also use this for Playoffs that have rounds to make great easy to play contests around the playoffs in major sports. It could also be used for Tennis/Golf or any events that have seeds and match play. Available in College Basketball, Football, Baseball, Basketball and Hockey.
