    Drafting

    Player Draft Eligibility
    - Any players included in our player projections.
    - Any Players on an MLB roster.

Players that are missing from the drafting list will be added to the waiver wire during the course of the season as needed. Players will be listed on draft cards at the position that they are expected to play most often during the upcoming year, based on the best information available at the time of the game's release.

    Draft Card
    - The first step in the draft process is to specify how many roster slots you want to draft at each position.  You will use your Draft Card to do this and you can click on the Set Draft Card link in order to make changes to the Draft Card settings anytime prior to your draft.

    - Keeper league - teams will have up to four (4) players earmarked as Keepers going into the draft.  These players will be be used as the basis for forming the rest of the team, but the players being marked as Keepers still need to be accounted for in the Draft Card setup. For example, if your team was going to keep 2 C and 1 SS from last year, and you planned on drafting 1 additional Cs and 1 additional SS (giving you 3 C and 2 SS on your post-draft roster), then your Draft Card would need to be set to 3 for Cs and 2 for SSs in order to make sure your selections are made correctly should the Draft Card come into play.

    - All teams will draft a roster of twenty (25) players, eleven (11) of which can play on the active roster at one time. The table below lists the positions to be drafted as well as the maximum and minimum number of players you can draft at each position.

    - Note:The total number of Draft Choices must equal 25 or your draft card will not be updated and default settings will be used.

    Player Rankings
    - The second step in the drafting process is to rank the players at each position. Use the Set Rankings link to do so. This feature is totally up to you; if you do not wish to rank the players yourself, default rankings will be used at the time of the draft. Default rankings are based on the Sandbox Scoring System, using our experts' player projections.

    - If you are using a Multi-List draft, then each position has to be separately ranked. If you are using a Single List or live draft, all players are ranked together regardless of position. If player rankings are not changed, the system will use the default rankings.

    Draft Types
There are 4 different types of drafts options available in Full Count:

    • Fast Live Draft - (this Shockwave based system gives each team 2 minutes to make a selection)
    • Slow Live Draft - (this Shockwave based system gives each team 12 or 24 hours to make a selection)
    • Single List - (uses a system-generated program run by Sandbox - you are not required to be in front of your computer in order to draft)
    • Multi List - (uses a system-generated program run by Sandbox - you are not required to be in front of your computer in order to draft)

Note: There is not a specific option available to Draft “Offline” and have the League Commissioner or a member of the league manually enter the players onto their respective rosters. However, a league that holds an offline draft can still get set up in Full Count very easily by choosing a Single List draft.  In a Single List Draft, each team ranks the players they drafted in their "Offline" draft as their top 25 players and sets their draft card to match up positionally with the players they drafted. If each team does this correctly, the draft will come out exactly as the offline draft went.

    Fast Live Draft
A draft is considered a Fast Live draft when each team owner has two (2) minutes to make a player selection depending on their league settings.  The draft takes place using a Shockwave web page and you will need to download the Shockwave software in order to participate. Click here to download SHOCKWAVE. Also, you will need to make preparations to be online at your computer during the entire course of the draft. Unless, you put your team on autopilot. Then your picks will be based off your rankings. If you did not set your personal rankings then the default rankings will be used.

    Slow Live Draft
A draft is considered a Slow Live draft when a team owner had (12) or (24) hours between picks.   The draft takes place using a Shockwave web page and you will need to download the Shockwave software in order to participate. Click here to download SHOCKWAVE. Also, you will need to make preparations to be online at your computer during the entire course of the draft.

    Single-List Draft
This type of draft is also done by our draft program and it does not require that you be in front of a computer at the scheduled time of the draft. Unlike the Multi-list draft, the Single List draft will rank all players together on one master list instead of at separate positions.

To rank the players, simply choose a position that you would like to rank, then select the desired player(s) and click the Move >> button in the rank players column. Once you have a list of players in your Rankings, you may change their position on your list by clicking on the player’s name and moving them up or down within that list. When you have the players ranked in the order you want them, hit the Save Changes button at the bottom of the screen to save any changes you have made.

A random draft order is determined by Sandbox when your league is created. If your League is a returning league the draft order will be the reverse of last year's standings. Every team will then follow this order to draft a roster of 25 players. The first round of the draft will pick the highest ranked player left from your rankings.

The first team to pick will get the player they have ranked first on their master list added to their roster. That player is then taken off of all the other teams’ draft list. The second team will then draft and get the highest ranked player left on their draft card. Each time a team picks, their highest ranked player, still available at a position that has not yet reached the maximum set by the player, will be added to the roster. After the draft is completed all teams will have a 25-man roster. All players not drafted will be placed on waivers and can be picked up using the Waiver Wire.

    Multi-List Draft
This type of draft is done by our draft program and it does not require that you be in front of a computer at the scheduled time of the draft. There are two major steps to using the Multi-List draft. First, you must choose how many players you want to draft at each of the roster spots using the Multi List Draft Card. Then you can rank the players at the following positions using the Player Rankings section:

    Players to Be Drafted
    Catcher
    First Base
    Second Base
    Third Base
    Short Stop
    AL Outfield
    NL Outfield
    AL Starting Pitcher
    NL Starting Pitcher
    Relief Picher

To rank the players, simply choose a position that you would rank, then select the desired  player(s) and click the Move >> button in the rank players column. Once you have a list of players in your Rankings, you may change their on your list by clicking on the player’s name and moving them up or down within that list. When you have the players ranked in the order you want them, hit the Save Changes button at the bottom of the screen to save any changes you have made.

A random draft order is determined by Sandbox when your league is created.  The order you will see will be the order that you will have the #1 pick at a position, however you will not know which positions are selected first by the draft program, so these numbers are somewhat meaningless.  Within each position, the draft order will be different and it will run in a 'snake' format so that once every owner has drafted once at that position, the draft order will be reversed for the subsequent picks at that position. The draft will reverse again if there is a third round of picks at that position, based on people's Draft Cards.  The draft will continue until it runs through all 10 positions and all teams’ rosters are full.

In smaller 8- or 10-team leagues, every team will get to pick first at at least one position.  In larger 12- or 14-team leagues, some teams will not have a #1 pick at a position. MULTI-LIST DRAFTS WORK BEST IN 10-TEAM LEAGUES, WHICH ENSURES EVERY TEAM 1 AND ONLY 1 TOP PICK AT A POSITION - all other leagues will involve some slight advantages for some teams, inherent in the drafting process, due to the number of teams being greater or smaller than the number of positions being drafted.

After the draft is completed all teams will have a 25-man roster. All players not drafted will be placed on waivers and can be picked up using the Waiver Wire.

    Draft Dates
Leagues may draft anytime, starting February 15th, 2007.  The league creator will choose the Draft Date and Time, though those may be changed anytime outside of 48 hours from the draft's scheduled start time. If the league is not filled at the time the draft is supposed to begin, then the draft date will be moved back one week. A league set to “Draft When Full” will begin the draft 48 hours after the league becomes full.

If the league creator specifies that the league is a Public League then there are no restrictions on who can join this league. If there is an open spot in the league any Sandbox user can claim it.

    Private Leagues:
If the league creator specifies that the league is a Private League then access to this league is restricted. In order to join this league, a Sandbox user must have the league creator provide him or her with a password in order to join. The League Creator has control over some settings in the league as long as the league continues to be Private.  If the League Creator changes the league to Public then the League Creator does not have control over those setting any longer.

    Keeper/Non-Keeper Leagues

    Keeper Leagues from 2006:
Upon logging into the game, each team owner has the ability to access their 2006 final roster and select his/her Keeper players to carryover into the 2007 season by clicking on the Edit Keepers link at the bottom of the League settings section of your League home page.  Owners may change their Keeper selections up until the date of the draft.  Teams may keep up to 4 players on their team from last year's roster.  The League Creator also has the ability to add and remove keepers for their own team and all others in the league.

Starting a New Keeper League in 2007:

    Playoff/Non-Playoff Leagues

    Playoff Leagues:

A Playoff format will be available in H2H or H2H Strat leagues ONLY.  Once the league creator of an H2H or H2H Strat league selects the use of Playoffs or no Playoffs, then the league cannot be changed. For Private Leagues, the League Creator can change whether the league uses playoffs or not up until the draft has taken place. However, after the draft has taken place, the option to use playoffs cannot be changed.

    • The top four 4 teams in the league compete in the semi-finals. Teams are seeded 1-4, with the division winners seeded #1 and #2 regardless of overall record.  The two next best teams, regardless of divisional affiliation, are then seeded 3-4 based on overall record.  Team 1 plays 4, Team 2 plays Team 3.  Winners play for the League Championship, losers play each other.
    • Teams 5 through 8 compete in a “consolation bracket”.  Teams are seeded 5-8 based on overall record, regardless of divisional affiliation.  Team 5 plays Team 8, Team 6 plays Team 7.  Winners play for the consolation championship, losers play each other.
    • There will be 43 regular season games and then two playoff series' at the end of the year - the League Semi-Finals and League Championship - to determine the League Champion. Teams will be seeded based on their finish at the end of Game 43 and end of season tiebreakers will be applied if necessary in order to determine seeding.  The overall League Champion is determined by the winner of final 5-game series during the last 2 weeks of the season.

The top 4 seeded teams will compete in the two best of 3 league semi-final series' starting September 3, 2007.  Team 1 plays Team 4 and Team 2 plays Team 3.

                  Best of 3 League Semi-Finals
                      Game 1: 9/3-9/6
                      Game 2: 9/7-9/9
                      Game 3: 9/10-9/13

The winner of each Semi-Final series will play in a best of 5 series for the League Championship, while the losers will play each other for 3rd place.

                  Best of 5 League Finals
                  Game 1: 9/14-9/16
                  Game 2: 9/17-9/20
                  Game 3: 9/21-9/23
                  Game 4: 9/24-9/27
                  Game 5: 9/28-9/30

    • Teams seeded 5 through 8 will compete in similarly structured  “consolation bracket” following the same schedule as above beginning September 3, 2007.  Team 5 plays Team 8 and Team Six 6 plays Team 7.  Winners play for the consolation championship, losers play each other.

    • The teams that don’t make the playoffs or teams that have been eliminated will still be allowed to set their lineups and have their teams get points.

    Non-Playoff Leagues

All Roto and FP leagues will be non-playoff leagues. H2H and H2H Strat leagues that do not use playoffs will play a complete 51-game regular season and the overall league champion will be determined by the team with the most number of wins at the end of the season. Tiebreakers will be applied if necessary. Once the league has been filled, and the draft has been held, you will have a schedule of your games for the season. Each week you will go against one of the other teams in your league. The schedule depends upon your league size. All schedules are determined randomly.  The schedule will not be displayed until after the draft.

    Head to Head

Head-to-Head (H2H) leagues must have 8, 10, 12, or 14 teams and standard Sandbox scoring (see chart above) is used.  Each team plays a schedule of 51 games throughout the season starting April 1, 2007 and concluding with final weekend on September 30, 2007. The schedule is automatically generated and cannot be changed.  H2H leagues play two games per week; one game from Monday through Thursday and another from Friday through Sunday.  All roster moves are effective as of the following Monday or Friday.  Any transaction/trade entered after the 1st game time on Monday will be effective the next Friday.  Any transaction/trade entered after the 1st game time on Friday will be effective the next Monday.

The tie breakers for individual games for H2H Leagues are as follows:

    • (1) Most wins by pitchers

    • (2) Most runs scored by hitters

    • (3) Fewest earned runs allowed by pitchers

    • (4) Most sacrifices by hitters

    Head to Head Strategy

Head-to-Head Strategy (H2H Strat) leagues use the same base scoring system as the H2H and FP leagues described above, but with one fundamental difference: Your team can affect the FP scored by your opponent's team, and vice versa. Your goal is still to score more FP each week than your opponent, and if you do, then you get a win and they get a loss, but you must be mindful of the players your opponent will likely be starting against you in order to compete under this scoring system. The "strategy" element of the game basically works around how you feel your pitchers will match-up with the hitters in your opponents lineup and, conversely, how you feel the hitters in your lineup will match-up with the pitchers in your opponent's lineup.  In real baseball, managers are always looking for that statistical edge that they can get by working the righty-lefty match-ups, and this scoring system attempts to give you credit for doing the same.  For every right-handed pitcher in your starting lineup, your opponent's FP from all their right-handed hitters will be decreased by 10%.  For every left-handed pitcher in your starting lineup, your opponent's FP from all their left-handed hitters will be decreased by 10%.  For every right-handed pitcher in your starting lineup, your opponent's FP from all their left-handed hitters will be increased by 10%.  For every left-handed pitcher in your starting lineup, your opponent's total FP from all their right-handed hitters will be increased by 10%.  Switch hitters FP are NOT affected by any pitcher, and all pitchers will still receive their FP as they normally would. For instance, if your opponent has a pitching staff that is overloaded with righties, and he only starts 1 lefty usually, you may want to consider playing more left-handed hitters in your lineup, in order to take advantage of the huge advantage you will get for their performance (net effect of 6 righties and 1 lefty on a staff is a 50% increase in FP for left-handed hitters).   Conversely, if your opponent's top hitters are all left-handed hitters, you may want to consider starting 4 or more lefties to try to cut down on their production (4 lefty starters and 3 righties would cause a net decrease of 10% to all of the opponent's left-handed hitters).  A full example of a how the H2H Strat Adjustment is figured is found below: Example:You are starting 5 right-handed pitchers and 2 left-handed pitchers to fill your 7 pitcher slots in this game H2H Strat game.  Your opponent's lineup is heavy on right-handed batters by a margin of 7 to 3 over left-handers.  Because you are starting five righties and two lefties, the net effect on your opponent's hitters will be an increase in the left-handed hitters FP by 30% and a decrease in the right-handed hitters FP by 30%.

In order to be factored in, the pitcher must pitch in at least one game during the course of the head to head matchup. Both relief pitchers and starting pitchers count toward the strategy calculation.

    Now, say your opponent's total hitters FP for the M-TH game broke down like this: C (L) = 10, 1B (L) = 30, 2B (L)  = 13, SS (R)  = 19, 3B (R)  = 21, Util (R) = 13, OF (R) = 18, OF (R) = 32, OF (R) = 14, OF (R) = 22.   Their total FP from left-handed hitters would be 53, and the total FP from right-handed hitters would be 139. The table below will show how to figure the total strategy adjustment that will be applied to your opponent's hitters FP score:

    Hitters (opponent's team)

    Bats

    FP Earned

    Pitching Adj.

    FP Adj.

    Righties 139 -30% -42
    Lefties 53 +30% +16

    Strategy Adjustment:

    -26

Note: All bonuses and penalties are rounded to whole numbers for Strategy scoring. The bonuses and penalties are added up with the rest of your FP to determine your total points for the week. The above tables are added on the Match-Up page to show how many FP were added or subtracted from your total score so you can track how your strategies affected your opponents scoring. Once your teams Strategy Adjustment is combined with your teams regular FP totals, you will have your teams final score for the game.  If your strategy-adjusted total is higher than your opponent's, you win the game for that week.

     Rotisserie

Rotisserie (Roto) Leagues will use a scoring system where teams are ranked in each scoring category.  Teams receive points based on where they are ranked in the category.  For example, in a 10-team Roto league the team that has the most Home Runs will receive 10 points in the Home Run category.  We add up the points for each team in each category to arrive at total points and the highest aggregate total at the end of the year wins.

The Roto Categories used are as follows:Hitting:

    • Batting Average

    • RBI

    • Home Runs

    • Runs scored

    • Stolen Bases

    • Errors

    • Strikeouts

    Pitching:

    Waiver Wire

Any Major League player not drafted in the initial fantasy draft begins the season on waivers and any players released from a fantasy team are immediately placed on waivers. All players MUST go though the waiver process and clear waivers to become unconditional free agents.

These players will remain on waivers for no less than 48 hours and no more than 72 hours during which time any fantasy team can place claims on them (If he is waived at 11 PM, he will be on waivers for a little more than 48 hours.  If waived at 6 AM , he will be on waivers for almost 72.).  These claims are all held for evaluation by the waiver wire.  After the 48-72 hour claim period, in the middle of the next night ( 1AM – 9AM

), the waiver wire runs and awards the waiver players to the appropriate team that submitted a claim based on the waiver order.  The waiver order will be discussed in more detail below.

Any players not claimed within the 48-72 hour claim window will clear waivers and become unconditional free agents.  Free agents can be signed to any fantasy team on a first-come, first-served basis, and they will immediately be placed on that team's roster.

First Waiver Wire of the Season
Each team is assigned a waiver position before start of the season. This waiver position is determined by the reverse order of the way the teams drafted in the first round of the draft. That is to say, if you got the #1 draft pick, you'll start with the last waiver claim position. The only exception is for Multi-list Drafts: if you got the #1 pick at AL SP, then you will have the last waiver pick immediately following the draft.    When pre-season Waiver Wire transactions are executed, the players will be moved immediately, but the effective date will display as Opening Day, Sunday, April 1 because that is the date when the game starts scoring.  After the draft, all players will be placed on waivers and then, if unclaimed, moved to free agent status after the initial waiver run.  The waiver wire will run every day between 1 AM and 9 AM.

    In Season Waiver Wire Order

After the season has started, waiver priority will be determined by league rank. The Waiver Wire Order is re-set each Wednesday during the season making Thursday the first day of the new waiver wire. The team in last place in the league will have the best waiver priority position, and the team in first place will have the worst waiver priority position.  Then each time a team receives a player from waivers the team is placed last in the waiver wire order. You only move up if a team ahead of you in the waiver order makes a successful claim

    Making Transactions
To claim waiver players, go to the league’s home page and click on the link called “Waiver Wire.” From this page you will see all available players that are on waivers or are free agents.  The first column on the left is the “Action” column and the next column is the “Status” column.  If a player is a free agent, the Status column will say “Free Agent.”  If the player is on waivers, the Status column will show a date.  The date shown is approximately the date that the player will be awarded based on the claims that have been put in on him.  If the player is not awarded to a team, then he will become a free agent on that date.

You can also pick up a player via the "Player Search" box located the left navigation menu. Submit the first three lettesr of the players last name and a list of the player will be displayed. If the player is available there will be a "Claim" link next to their name.

When picking up players off the waiver wire, the statistic categories displayed will be different based upon the positions selected. The only statistics that are displayed for all positions are the G, FP, and FP/G.

    Adding Players to the Game
Athletes brought up from the minors or otherwise added to MLB rosters will be added to the waiver wire system every Thursday beginning April 5, as per the discretion of the Sandbox commissioner. People who wish to recommend players to be added should do so in the Athlete Additions forum. Sandbox will have final say each week as to which players to add to the waiver wire.

*How to Pick Up a Free Agent
The Action column next to free agents will say Claim.  Clicking the Claim link will display a roster page where the free agent can be added to the fantasy team and corresponding players on the team can be shuffled to other positions and/or waived off the team to make room for the new player.  Submitting that page will bring up a confirm page and submitting the confirm page will immediately execute all moves.
*How to Claim a Player on Waivers
Claiming waiver players is slightly different.  First, click Claim next to the player. Doing so will display a page where a corresponding player can be designated to be dropped if (and only if) the waiver player is awarded to the team during the evaluation.  Submitting that page will bring up a confirm page and submitting the confirm page will log the claim as pending.
*When Making Claims Watch please note . . .
    - While the claim is pending, the team owner may delete the claim by going to the league home page and clicking the Pending Claims link.
    - When the waiver claim is ultimately evaluated, the player you chose as the one to drop to make room for the new player MUST be in the exact same place on your roster as he was when the claim was submitted or the waiver claim will be denied.  If the corresponding player to drop was on your bench when the claim was submitted he must still be on your bench when the claim is evaluated.  If the corresponding player to drop was in your starting lineup when the claim was submitted he must still be in your starting lineup when the claim is evaluated (though it is okay for him to be at a different postition in your lineup).  For example, if you put in a claim for Kerry Collins and specify that if you get Collins you will waive Rich Gannon, who was in your starting lineup, then you MUST leave Gannon in  your starting lineup until the waiver wire runs to award you Collins.  If you move Gannon to your bench, waive him, or trade him before the waiver wire run tries to give you Collins, you will NOT get him.In all cases, when the claim is evaluated, the final result of the transaction must leave the fantasy roster in compliance with game's 25 man roster limit or the claim will be denied.

    Example Waiver Wire Order

    Below is the Draft Order:

    1st        team 4  puts in a claim for player A, B & D, E (in that order)

    1st pick – tm 5 – no claims

    2nd pick – tm 3 – no claims

    3rd pick – tm 2 – no claims

4th pick – tm 4 – gets no player (stays 3rd to last)

    In the fourth round:

    1st pick – tm 5 – no claims

    2nd pick – tm 3 – no claims

    3rd pick – tm 2- no claims

4th pick – tm – 4 would get no player (stays 3rd to last)

5th pick – tm 6 – would get no player (stays 2nd to last)

    6th pick – tm 1 – gets player F (stays in last)

The next day when the waiver wire runs, the order will be where the previous day left off:

    1st pick – tm 5

    2nd pick – tm 3

    3rd pick – tm 2

    4th pick – tm 4

    5th pick – tm 6

    6th pick – tm 1

When the weekly standings are run on Wednesday, the waiver wire order will start off with the order of the new standings (last to first).

H2H and H2H Strat Leagues please note:

You can pick up players off waivers every day, but they only become effective on your team on Mondays and Fridays.  For example, you can receive a player from waivers on Tuesday but you will be unable to get insert him into your lineup or get any points from him until Friday.

    Trades
The Trade Desk link in the left side menu is your one-stop trading headquarters. Anything you may want to do involving a trade happens here. You can propose, accept or decline a trade. Even review pending trades between other league owners, if you feel the deal is unfair.

All trade transactions are free and unlimited.  When a trade is executed, all traded players go to their new teams' reserve roster.  The new owners will then have the option to activate the players as they wish.

    Proposing a Trade:
From your League Home page, click on Trade Desk.  Click on a team in the  Propose Trade section.  Choose Acquire next to players you want to acquire from that team.  After submitting, choose Trade for the players you want to trade to the other team.  Click the Submit Trade Request button.  This will send an email to the team to whom you made the trade proposal.
Note: The receiver of the proposed trade has 48 hours to accept, reject or ignore the trade. Once a trade is accepted none of the players in the trade can be moved by either team while the trade is being voted on. Additionally, there are almost no restrictions on the number of combination of players you may trade. Owners do not have to trade the same number of players or players from the same position. If you make a trade that will force you to exceed the maximum roster size of 25 players the system will not allow you to make any roster moves until your roster is within the maximum allowed.

    Canceling a Trade Proposal:
You may cancel a trade proposal any time BEFORE the trade is accepted by the other owner. From your league home page, click on Trade Desk. You will see all of the trades that you have proposed.  Find the trade you want to cancel and click on the Rescind This Trade Proposal button under the trade proposal.

    Accepting a Trade Proposal:
From your league home page, click on Trade Desk.  You will see all of the trades that have been proposed to your team.  Find the trade you want to accept and click on the Accept Trade button.Note:  If either team waives a player involved in the trade proposal before it is accepted and executed, the entire trade will be nullified.

    Protesting a Trade Proposal:
Once a trade has been offered and accepted, an e-mail is automatically sent to the other owners in the league. The trade will sit in the Trade Proposal Voting section of your league home page for 48 hours so the league can review it.  If you believe the trade is extremely lopsided or collusive, you may protest and vote against the trade. If a trade receives the maximum number of league member protests during the 48-hour review period, it will automatically be rejected. To protest a trade, click on Vote on Proposal link on your League Home page in the Trade Proposals Voting section. Find the trade you would like to vote on and click the radio button next to Yes or No, then click the Vote on the Trade Proposal button to register your vote.

Please protest responsibly. Do not protest a trade just to delay its processing.  Do not use offensive, abusive or vulgar language in your protest messages, as these messages will be published to the other members of your league. Do not use protest messages that contain no real information such as, “Because,” “This trade is unfair,” “This trade sucks,” “They won’t trade with me,” “I can make a better offer,” or the like.  Sandbox may remove owners for abusive or spiteful protest messages at its sole discretion and without warning.

    Processing of Trades:
Trades are normally executed within 2 to 4 hours after the deadline to vote on it. All trades must go through the complete Voting Process, even if there have been enough YES votes to make it so the trade will not be vetoed. For example, in a ten team league even if 7 teams vote YES for the trade, the trade will NOT be processed early – it will still go through the complete 48 hour voting period. Owners are able to change their vote until the trade deadline.

    Trade Deadline
All trades must be proposed before: Saturday, August 18, 2007 at 1:00 PM ET

    Position Eligibility

Position eligibility is based on where a player played in 2006 and where he plays in 2007.   A player is eligible to be played at any position that he played at least 15 games in 2006 or plays at least 15 times in 2007.  If a player has not played enough games at any particular position in order to qualify for eligibility, the position he played most often in 2006, either in the minors, overseas, or in recent  MLB action, will be his default position.

Any player who did not play a natural position (i.e.; they were mainly a DH and rarely played in the field) will be assigned a position for drafting purposes. This assigned position will be their most recently played position – for example David Ortiz and Travis Hafner were assigned to 1B. All such players are eligible at that position all season long. For example, the team that drafts Ortiz will be able to play him at Util or 1B.

How it is determined whether a pitcher is a starter (SP) or a reliever (RP)?

Pitchers are classified in Full Count as an RP or an SP based on what role they are projected to play for their team in 2007.  Generally, this can be determined based on how they were used most often in 2006, however some player position judgments were subjective and based more on press reports of how the player's role was slated to change in 2007.  Regardless of how a pitcher is classified, they will earn points for a team based upon how they are used in real MLB games, not how they are classified within Full Count.

    Game Limits

Hitter Maximums are applied for an entire fantasy team, not on a per-position basis.

  • Maximum number of Pitching Appearances allowed for SP:162
  • Maximum number of Pitching Appearances allowed for RP:140
  • Maximum number of Games Played for ALL Hitters combined :1620

Once a team exceeds the maximum games limit for an item, that team will no longer receive FP or stats for those players affected. If it is a hitting category, they will still receive points from their pitchers and if it is a pitching category, they will still receive points for their hitters.

Players are considered to have played in a game if they actually appear in the game.If a player is in a fantasy team’s starting lineup and the player’s Major League team plays a game but the player does not appear in the game, that does NOT count as a game played for the player. Pitcher's stats and appearances will be applied to your score and limits totals based upon how they are used in their MLB game, not how they are labeled within Full Count.EXAMPLE: Tim Wakefield is listed in the game as an SP as of spring training.  However, he gets nudged out of the Boston rotation in spring training, and he is used throughout the season as a reliever.  If you have Wakefield in your lineup, you will be getting points and accruing games toward your RP limit, despite Wakefield's position designation as SP, because he is actually appearing as a reliever in the real games.  If and when it becomes clear that Wakefield will not be starting on a regular basis, Full Count will change his position designation to RP.  Now if a team has Wakefield on their roster, and they exceed the RP game limit of 140 before the year ends, they would no longer be able to get any points from Wakefield for games that he relieves a starter.  If he starts and you are not over your limit for SPs, you will accrue points for those appearances.

Please note: If you have one (1) game left in appearances and you started your entire pitching staff or entire roster of hitters you will only get credit for the one (1) player with the highest fantasy point total for that day. If you have three games appearances left you will be awarded with the three highest FP totals for that day.

What happens when the Maximum is reached?

When a Maximum is reached, then the fantasy team will not receive any more points or stats from that point on in hitting or pitching, depending on which max was reached. For example, once a team reaches 1620 Games Played for Hitters they will receive no more additional points from their hitters, but they will continue to receive points from their pitchers assuming they have not exceeded the games limit in either of those categories. As stated above, one important issue with exceeding your pitching limits is that it precludes you from scoring any points from any pitchers who appear at the position that you have exceeded.  So if you exceeded your SP game limits in August, you will not be able to receive any further points the rest of the season from any pitcher who starts a baseball game.
